CCM Durban - 'n Kort verslag

'n Kort verslag van my besoek aan Durban die vorige week met ons CCM Konferensie daar.
Die seminaar self by die Kerk Pentecostal Outreach Fellowship was een groot seën.
Die WA van Ivan Krishna van die gemeente sê dit alles:

Hello precious Saint of God. On behalf of CCM KZN chapter, I want to express our heart felt thanks to you for making our seminar today a resounding success. Many were informed, challenged, resourced, motivated and prayed for in the area of Muslim evangelism. I have no doubt that this day is a turning point for many churches in Durban. Let's continue to press on in this very neglected ministry, which also happens to be heavy on the heart of God.

God bless you dearly for your efforts. Certainly we could not repay you for your labour of love today but, no doubt, heaven has bountiful blessings in store for your work today.
Thank you and God bless.
Ivan Krishna

The Gospel of the Kingdom.

This Gospel of the Kingdom

An extract from the book "24:14 A Testimony to All Peoples -Kingdom Movements Around the World" Compiled by Dave Coles and Stan Parks, editors. (Available at Amazon.)
This gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a witness to all peoples, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14, Editor’s Translation)

Chapter 3. The Gospel of the Kingdom by Jerry Trousdale and Glenn Sunshine[4],[5]
Jesus’ promise in Matthew 24:14 serves as the outline for the first section of this book: “This gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a witness to all peoples, and then the end will come” (editors’ translation).
In their book, The Kingdom Unleashed: How Jesus' 1st-Century Kingdom Values Are Transforming Thousands of Cultures and Awakening His Church, Jerry Trousdale and Glenn Sunshine explore dynamics of Kingdom Movements in the world today.
Early in their book, they lay a biblical foundation concerning the Kingdom of God, whose core values undergird these movements. We have included this excerpt as a foundation for our perspective on the Kingdom gospel message being proclaimed through Church Planting Movements in the 24:14 coalition. – Editors
The coming of the Kingdom of God was at the heart of Jesus’ message, and that “kingdom” theme has been at the root of the Gospel throughout most of church history. Yet the idea of the Kingdom is strangely absent from much of evangelical thinking today.
Let’s start with a definition of the word kingdom. In Greek, the word is basileia, and it does not refer to a king’s geographical territory but to the recognition of his royal authority. In other words, you have a kingdom any place where the king’s authority is recognized and obeyed. So a Roman legionary who left Roman territory on imperial business carried the kingdom with him, since he acknowledged Caesar’s authority over him and was obeying him.
When we talk about the Kingdom of God, then, we are referring to people who acknowledge the Lordship of Christ and who are striving to obey Him at all times in all places. Jesus came to proclaim that, in Himself, the rule of God was breaking into the world that is in rebellion against Him.
The Kingdom of God in the Old Testament
The Kingdom concept is implicit throughout the Scriptures and is central to what it means to be human. In Genesis 1:26–27, we are told that human beings were created in the image of God. In the ancient near east, a person who was called “the image of a god” was believed to be the official representative and regent of that god, and thus to have the right to rule under that god’s authority. So when God makes man in His image, He immediately gives him dominion over the earth. We are to rule here, but we are to do so as God’s stewards, under His authority. In Genesis 3, Adam chooses to misuse his authority in this world by acting out of his own interests rather than God’s. The effect of this is that all humanity became subject to sin and death, and human cultures fell under the influence of Satan. When Satan tempted Jesus, he “showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, and said to him, ‘To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours’” (Luke 4:5–7, emphasis added). Jesus did not dispute Satan’s authority over the kingdoms of the world, at least in this age. We know from Scripture that the earth is the Lord’s, but this passage suggests that human kingdoms have been delivered to Satan. Despite this, however, human beings retain the image of God and, by God’s grace, even the most depraved cultures retain some knowledge of God and His ways (Acts 14:17; Rom. 1:18–2:16). God promised that redemption from sin and death would come through the seed of the woman, who would crush the serpent’s head and be wounded in the process (Gen. 3:15). God’s call to Abram established his descendants as a holy nation through whom the whole world would be blessed, and the seed of the woman became more clearly identified as the seed of Abraham. From there, it was narrowed further to the seed of Isaac, Jacob, and Judah. The Messianic line was narrowed further with the coming of David. David was far from perfect, but he was a man after God’s own heart, humble and with a tender conscience. God promised that his line would rule Israel forever, and more, that the Messiah would sit on David’s throne and would rule over all earthly kingdoms, bringing blessings to those who submit to Him and judgment on those who persist in rebellion against Him. His kingdom would extend over the whole world and bring righteousness and peace in its wake.
The Kingdom of God in the New Testament
The core message of John the Baptist was, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven[6] is at hand,” which was the very same message that Jesus preached when John was put into prison. John described what repentance and Kingdom living looked like: “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise” (Luke 3:11). In other words, repentance and living in light of the Kingdom means identifying the needs of those around us and doing what we can to meet those needs, rather than insisting on our own rights, privileges, and possessions. Jesus’ teaching centered on the Kingdom. The Sermon on the Mount is a description of life in the Kingdom, and a significant percentage of His parables teach about the Kingdom. He explained that His Kingdom is not of this world; in other words, it is not like earthly kingdoms that are under the dominion of Satan. Rather, the Kingdom is built on repenting of our sin and rebellion against God and restoring our relationships with God and with our neighbor, resuming our role as regents acting under God, with authority to establish and advance God’s reign on earth as it is in heaven. When the Kingdom (basileia) is properly understood as acknowledging and obeying the authority of God, it is also revealed to be the center of the Great Commission: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go[7] and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:18–20). The Greek word for “disciple,” mathetes, refers to a student or an apprentice learning something under the direction of a master. In this case, we are told what disciples are to be learning: we are to teach them to observe everything that Jesus commanded—in other words, to acknowledge and obey Jesus, to whom all authority has been given. We should note that there is a difference between the Kingdom and the church. God’s purpose is to build His Kingdom; the church exists to promote and advance the Kingdom. The church is to prepare and equip Christians to bring Christ’s authority (i.e. the Kingdom) to bear in all areas of life. Like a Roman soldier outside of the Empire, Christians bring the Kingdom with them wherever they go as long as they acknowledge Jesus as Lord and act in obedience to Him. The Kingdom is thus much broader than the church. To put it differently, the church is not an end in itself, but the means to build the Kingdom.
The Lordship of Christ
The Kingdom is another way of talking about the Lordship of Christ. The most ancient confession of the Christian faith is “Jesus is Lord,” meaning that He is Lord of all. And “all” means all, not just personal salvation or personal morality, but our families, our work, our recreation, our relationships, our health, our resources, our politics, our communities, our neighbors—all. And that means that we are to obey Him in all areas of life.
The Lordship of Christ is the central reality in all of creation, and it is the central fact of the Christian life. It should shape how we see ourselves and how we understand the world and our place in it—in other words, it is to be the center of our worldview. At its core, having a biblical worldview means understanding what the Lordship of Christ means in every area of life. Growing as a Christian means progressively living out the Lordship of Christ more and more faithfully in more and more areas of life. This means that Christians are not to be concerned only with people’s souls; they are also to been concerned with their wellbeing in this world. Christians have always tended to the sick and built hospitals; they have always fed the hungry; they began the first charitable institutions in human history. Why? Because Christians have always believed that the body is important. Christians have always opened schools; in fact, most of the major universities in the world, historically were founded by Christians. Why? Because Christianity is concerned with the mind. Christians were the first to develop technologies that make the laborer’s work better, easier, and more productive. Why? Because work is a positive good, given to us before the Fall. The Fall brought with it drudgery and painful toil, but Christ came to redeem us from the effects of the Fall, and so we are to restore dignity to work. As Christians, we are to bring joy back to the work we do. Christians invented the idea of universal human rights. Why? Because the Bible tells us about human dignity founded on the image of God and on the Incarnation of Christ.
All of these are examples of living out the Lordship of Christ as citizens of the Kingdom of God.

CCM and the Question: Why Muslims?

CCM and the Question: Why Muslims?

I am privilege to be involved with the CCM (Christian Concern with Muslims) conference at the church of the Pentecostal Outreach Fellowship in Durban this coming weekend. I look forward to the opportunity to learn from leaders in the field of M-evangelism, people like CCM executives Ivan Krishna and Fred Nel from Eternal Life Outreach, who is very experienced in this field of ministry and know the Durban area very well. He will take me around to a number of sites in this regard.

1.    Why Missions - Why Muslims?

Lately I became more and more involved with Muslim evangelism due to my KoFie-project (Koninkryksfokus Internet Evangelisasie) where I administer two Facebook Pages in this field (see the information at the end of this post). The CCM guys even designate me as the CCM representative for Pretoria and to serve as the Webmaster for their Website.
This question “Why Missions - Why Muslims?” became more and more a personal challenge or need to answer for me personally as it was necessary to rethink my future ministry and general road ahead. Where to maximize my focus and involvement.

2.    Why Muslims?

Once I received this question: “Why Muslims? They are a small minority in our country. Why rather not use your ministry time focusing on the other big needs in our own country? The fact is that very few Muslims ever accepts the Good News ”.
Firstly I don’t think that statement is correct. But while I was busy rethinking this question I came up with the following answers for myself:

Why Muslims?
The short answer is: Although we are not so interested in them, they are very interested in us; you and me!
★The international Halal initiative whereby Islam organisations try to dominate all business and trade with the Halal certification of food products, is one proof of a planned strategy behind the scenes. (You can read more about it here
★The following information is an example of Islam's Dawah (missions) strategies:
★★ A national Quran drive was driven in South Africa during 5 to 9 August. The joint project between Islamic Dawah Movement (IDM), Fusion Inyameko Foundation SA (FIFSA) and Light of Guidance Islamic Centre (LOGIC) aimed to distribute 20 000 Qurans and gift packs to various communities across the country whilst aiming to achieve the promotion of Islam and distribution of Islamic literature.

3.    Why Missions in the first place?

During my past ministry focusing on Mission Mobilization I was rethinking this many times.

What is our main Motivation for doing Missions?

I even wrote a few books (in Afrikaans), searching the Bible to answer this question.
The answers that I figure out for myself are shortly as follows:
    1. Missions is NOT in the first place about the Great Commission, to be obedient to Christ because He sent us.
    2. It is also NOT about saving the lost souls that are on the way to hell.
    3. Missions IS ALL ABOUT maximizing honoring our Creator and praising God as our King, our Heavenly Father. Therefor we need to share the gospel to every person on this earth so that they also can join being His disciples, the real church, the heavenly choir of Revelation; those that will sing praises in heaven to Him that sits on the throne and to the Lamb (Rev 5:12-13).

    4.    Our Motivation for our KoFie-project

In explaining the Motivation for our KoFie-initiatives, I summarize it as follows.
    ·       God's blessings to be a blessing (Gen. 12:1-3);
    ·       All about the King and His Kingdom (Rev 1:4-6);
    ·       We are His Priests (1 Pet 2:9, Rom 15:16);
    ·       For God's Glory (Rom 16:26-27),
    ·       Jesus's Vision for All Nations (Rev 5:9-14; Mat 24:14)

    5.    But...Why Muslims?

    5.1 THEIR NUMBERS:

With more than 1,8 Billion people in 2019, Islam is a very important religion and must be considered as such. That is... Nearly one in every 4 people in the world today is Muslim. It is expected to increase to nearly 30% in 2050. To put it in perspective, in 2050 half of all “unreached peoples” will be Muslims. They just can’t be ignored in our Missions focus.

5.2. FOR THE HONOUR OF GOD SAKE.

One of my Ex-Muslim's friends wrote a very interesting and important book about Islam “Identity Theft” - Unmasking Allah's Fraudulent Claim to Yahweh's Throne. (Read it Here)
It’s about God's honour being at stake. Islam stole what is only belonging to God. His Almighty Power as the Only One on the throne.
    ·       * Peter indicates this when he says that God's call to all humanity is based on His divine glory or doxa (2 Peter 1:3).
    ·       * Paul defended his ministry to Gentiles with the message of Christ by arguing that God's honor required it (Romans 9:22-23). God's honor and glory is revealed in Christ (Hebrews 1:1-3).

Of all the religions in the world today, Islam most strongly rejects the Bible message and the Only Truth of Jesus Christ as God by putting something else in His place.
This must be rectified at all cost by sharing the REAL TRUTH of the GOSPEL!

5.3.  MANY MUSLIMS STILL DON’T KNOW THE TRUTH.

Many Muslims are not free to hear the Gospel and therefore don’t know the truth. One think about the prayer of the Lord Jesus on the cross in Luke 23:34 “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”
Increasing numbers of Muslims are dissatisfied with the religion of Islam and are in search for the truth. Many Muslims turn to Christ today. The number of Ex-Muslim websites on the net and Facebook grow they by day.
Lastly, as mentioned already, although many Christians are ignorant about Islam and are not interested to get involved, the fact is that Islam is interested in us. With their Dawah- mission strategies they are busy planning how to reach the whole world for Allah. They use various methods to reach it, religious means but also politics and the economy (just do some research about the Halal trade mentioned above)
    Therefor Islam can’t be ignored! ! !

Wie? Wat? Waar?
My logiese vraag: Is jy 'n Christen? Ken jy die evangelie? Nee, nie eintlik godsdienstig nie.
Ek vra haar: Kan ek vir jou deel hoe ek self glo en waarom dit so baie vir my beteken? OK!
(en toe los ek per ongeluk my nuwe Korsika pet ook net daar by haar?)

    4) Salman, 'n Indiërsakeman op die vlug terug:

Ek besef weereens: Langs wie mens op 'n vliegtuigvlug sit, is nooit toevallig nie.
Ons groet die gewone. Wie? Wat? Waar? vrae volg. Hy kom van Indië. O, dan is jy seker 'n Hindoe? of 'n Boeddhis? Nee, hy is 'n Moslem. Onlangs getroud; Vrou is tuis in Indië.
Moslem. O, en wat glo julle? Ek wil graag meer leer oor Islam, sê ek. Hoe word 'n mens gered as jy 'n Moslem is?  Entoesiasties verduidelik hy hulle geloof; hulle gebede ens.
Toe eers 'n draai loop. By my terugkoms... sien ek hoe die jongman sit en ruk soos hy snik. Ek voel so jammer vir hom, sit my hand op sy skouer en vra of ek vir hom kan bid. Asseblief, antwoord hy.

    5) Twee Joodse studente by die Doeane

Wie het my gestuur? Watter kerk?

    6) Laastens: Die Motorwag in Suid-Afrika:

My dokter het gesê: Ek moet dadelik gaan vir 'n prostaat toets as ek in SA terug is.
Eisjh. Kom ek kry dit agter die blad.
By die mediese sentrum ontmoet ek hom; 'n gewone motorwag wat my motor oppas.
Ek vra hom: Hoe gaan dit? Sy antwoord: Uitstekend, baie goed.
Regtig vra ek, waarom sê jy so?
Want die Here seën hom en is so goed vir hom.
Regtig? Ja, antwoord hy spontaan: 24/7 elke dag.

Die Prostaat uitslag: Geen probleem gevind! Prys die Here!
Ja, God is waarlik goed! 24/7 elke dag!

Minder as 1% evangeliese Christene.

'n Uittreksel uit my vorige epos

ONS UITREIK & NAVORSINGSBESOEK NA FRANKRYK

Ek gaan DV e.k.
(Daar is selfs 'n Franssprekende gemeente in Pretoria).
Visum is gereed; Reeds begin pak; Die nodige fondse kom ook mooi in. PdH!

Fwd: I Surrender All, I Surrender All

Ek wil hierdie Gratis Aanlyn Bybelstudie... graag aanbeveel.

    Kyk gerus daarna...

I Surrender All, I Surrender All
Laura Story, author of I Give Up
    I surrender all
    I surrender all
All to thee, my blessed savior.
    I surrender all.

It's a pretty familiar song. And probably like you, I've sat in church and sung it a dozen times. But did I really mean it, surrender all? Really?

Quite honestly, I probably didn't. Sure, I was sincere, but I'm not sure I really understood what it meant.

Over the past several months, I've been exploring what real surrender looks like. And by diving into the Bible, I've discovered some truths that I would love to share with you. I'm calling this new study I Give Up: The Secret Joy of a Surrendered Life.

I believe that surrender isn't just a one-time decision made during an altar call, or in the heat of the battle when you're at the very end of your rope.

Surrender is 1,000 little choices made day by day, moment by moment. And in this study, we'll look at why we should surrender and how it can be done.

Because giving up is scary, but it's a freeing experience.

And here's your chance to give up. Let's do it together.

Report of Our CCM Consultation at Pretoria

Last Saturday we had a very succesful Consulation as Christians Concerned about Islam.

All about the Muslims Halal Food Certification

    All about Halal Food Certification

    1.     The Growth of Islam in South Africa.

Number wise it is not expected to be so great; 1,5-2 % of the South African Population? (better statistics is not available).
    But during the last decade:
o   Many more mosques all over the country
o   Many churches were changed to mosques
Where does the Money come from to build this mosques and spread Islam?
o   A lot came out of our pockets!   WHAT?

WHAT CAN AND MUST WE AS CHRISTIANS DO?

    Firstly, Get Informed!

On the FB Page "Know and Understand Islam" is a series of articles on the current Halaal issue. Welcome to visit the Page and register as a member or follow the page to stay informedhttps://www.facebook.com/KnowInsideIslam(Spelling: Both spellings: Halal or halaal are used.)

    2.     Halal Marking on Consumer Products:

Please read all the arguments and make your responsible conclusion.
    1) there are only 1,5-2 % Muslims in SA but their religious beliefs dominate our whole economy. They are welcome to do what they believe in their own household but not force it on us all.
    2) Question: Will Muslims buy stuff with "Christian Friendly" stickers and a Cross stamp on the food? Why must Christians be forced to buy "Islam marked" stuff as there are mostly non alternatives. Everything is halal marked these days.
    3) And there are enough proof that the reason behind Halal is more an Economic domination and Political (jihad) reason than a Religious conviction.
    4) Halal is in practice an extra unnecessary consumer-tax that everybody has to pay. WHY?
    5) Further it's a fact that the Halal-program brings a substantial income in the pockets of Muslim halal-organisations, money that is not donated for Christian welfare, but only for Muslim expansion.

    3.     South African Facebook Page:

    https://www.facebook.com/BoycottHalal.SA/

Say no to Halal Food in SA: Why?
We the majority people of SA strongly object to the infringement of our contitutional rights to freedom of religion, freedom of association and freedom of choice by being forced to fund the less than 2 percent of the people in SA with halal certification on 90 percent of our food -

    4.     S.A. Imam says "Halal Certification is a Fiasco"

“HALAL CERTIFICATES ARE BIDDAH – a new innovation – Worse than sins!

So it is not surprising that out of 57 OIC member countries less than five have Halal Certification Bodies!
Biddah - Concept of Bid'ah in islam Salman Quayyam
“Biddah” is Haram and considered as heresy, it is an innovation in Islam, it is the invention, creation or addition of any religious matter which was not (originally) found in Islam. Therefore, Islam warns against it and invalidates any religious deed which does not originate from the Quran and the Sunnah. Muhammad says in this respect: "He who innovates something that is not in agreement with our matter (religion), will have it rejected."

    Boycott Halal in SA
: MUSLIMS BETTER REJECT HALAL CERTIFICATES TOO!

    5.     More Islam voices that condemn Halal:

This Imam is not alone in condemning the system. On the Official Website of the Office of his Eminence Al-Sayyid Ali Al-Husseini Al-Sistani” it states:
“The writing [on the package] has no value at all. If the producer is a Muslim or it was produced in a place where Muslims are in the majority and it is not known that the producer is a non-Muslim, then it is permissible to eat it. But if the producer is a non-Muslim or it was produced in a place where Muslims are not in the majority and it is not known that the producer is Muslim, then it is not permissible to eat it.”
When asked if fish is ok to eat this is the answer on this website,
“There is no problem in buying it from Muslims or non-Muslims; as there is no problem in eating it, if they are satisfied that the fish was caught by the method mentioned above and that it belongs to the category of scale fish.”
    No halal certificate necessary!
"What does Allah have to tell us about the use of his words in order to earn money?
"Of course this marketing phenomenon is not a new custom amongst Muslims though I suspect that its current use is somewhat innovative. Allah said that using His words for financial gain is not permitted – yes that is right, misusing the term halal to make money is in fact not halal at all but haram!”
So are we really racist or bigots for opposing halal certification?
According to these Muslims we are completely justified in our concerns.

    6.    Does Halal Food Sales Supporting Terrorism?

CBN News has discovered that some of the money made from Muslim halal food sales is funneled to fund terrorist activities.

    7.     Ferrero Rosher Now proudly certificate Halal

    8.     Consider Christian Friendly Products

    Rather use Christian Friendly Products:
